Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actor, is well-known for her roles in film and on television since the mid 1980s. She has received various awards, including two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Award. Since the late 80s she has been working on film and television. Her work has been recognized with several awards, among them sixteen NAACP Image Awards. Bassett born in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt following her birth to New York New York, is an acclaimed actor. Bassett's mother had split from her father when she was about five. Bassett and her younger sister then relocated into St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was in high school when watched James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck production Of Mice and Men and knew that her dream of becoming an actor had come true. Yale University New Haven Connecticut awarded her a bachelor's degree (1980) which was in African American study, and a graduate degree (1983), from the Yale School of Drama. She met Courtney B. Vance, an actress who was also at Yale and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. In African-American Studies, 1981. Master in Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her main characters, Ramonda, in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
